Best Big Brother

Here he is - The best Big brother ever. (Sorry Carl)

I just put this little guy down to sleep, but I was super frustrated at him for the last 2 hours before that. So now I have to sit down and write about a lot of the great things this little guy is doing. Bronson is talking a ton! He will repeat almost everything you say to him. Often he repeats it from across the room when you didn't even know he was listening. With lots of words comes lots of opinions. Tonight as I was trying to take care of Evie he insisted that I sit down in the EXACT spot he indicated and help him building a really tall tower. He is starting to learn his ABC's (thanks to his uncle Xan.) It is so funny I often don't think he is old enough for a lot of things, but Xan doesn't have any sort of limit for him so teaches him some amazing stuff. I just jump on the band wagon after I realize that Bronson is actually capable of learning some more complicated things. I probably don't think Bronson can learn more because he is still really having a difficult time following simple directions such as: Bronson, come here, or Bronson, stop that.
-He recognizes and loves sugar especially jello. We often eat at the Cannon Center which has a dessert bar. It is a dangerous area for everybody, but now we absolutely can not sit in sight of it without a little drama.
-We now go to nursery every week without any drama! It is a wonderful transition and one that I wasn't sure would happen. It seems like he changed from one Sunday to the next.
-Baths and doing dishes are some of his favorite things. He especially loves the bubbles.
-He loves to count and can get to 10 if you help him through 4 and 5.
-Choo Choo trains are quickly becoming a favorite for him. It's the best way to get him to eat! He also has continued to love dinosaurs (he growls when you ask him what they say.), trucks, elmo, and animals of all sorts. I can't wait to take him to the zoo!
-Best of all he is gentle and loving to his little sister.
-There are so many other great things going on in this busy toddles life. He is funny, energetic, smart, and good. I love him.

How do mothers do it?

Just a question. I've been a mom for almost two years, and a mother of two for just about three weeks. I feel like all I am capable of doing is not enough to satisfy just my two children. So I've been wondering how mothers do it all - cook, clean, sew, craft, exercise, decorate. I am totally stumped. I know that there are mothers that keep up pretty consistently with most of these. So I'm asking how. I feel very limited in what I'm able to do when there are two small children at home, and that's just two, how in the world can three children even be possible? I'm grateful for a good supportive husband, a wonderful mother, and my sister. They make it seem possible. (Still not with the cooking, cleaning, exercising, wonder woman thing.)

Siblings

I was a little worried about how Bronson would be as a big brother and a sharer of attention. So far we are doing great. He is so good with Evelyn. He is gentle and soft. It helps that she has not been a very demanding baby and has slept a lot of the time. He still gets plenty of attention.
Kisses - He often will come into the room and say "baby, kiss, head"

One of his favorite things to do - Hold her little sister!

Here he is helping her clap her hands:)

It is such a great thing to be a mom - I love my kids

Welcome!

Evelyn is here are we are so thrilled! The delivery went so smoothly. We decided to get induced which was great! We knew that we were going into the hospital to have a baby! It was similar to my experience with Bronson, but a lot less time. I was given the pitocin and just about an hour later they came in to break my water. After about 20 min I started feeling the contractions and they were getting a little more painful so I called the anesthesiologist in to get my epidural ( I love epidurals!) Camden got back from his class just in time to hold my hand while I got the shot. This epidural was a heavy one. I literally could not feel any part of my legs. Not the most comfortable, but Camden was there to help me turn if I wanted to, and I prefer feeling nothing to feeling everything. At one point I asked him to curl one leg under the other thinking it would be more comfortable for me. He looked at me a little confused and told it me it was already curled.
I was able to nap and read on and off for the next couple of hours. They checked me and said I was ready to go! Wahoo! I only had to push through about 4 or 5 contractions and she came out healthy, pink, and chubby! She was 8.9 lbs. Everything went so well! It has been a great couple of days. The pictures below are of our newest little girl. We have yet to get a good look at her beautiful little eyes she has been taking her time waking up into reality. So far she is a good sleeper:)

Cute, Chubby little face.

Sometimes she gives us some cute little expressions, and yawns.

That is one proud papa!
